Used original BMW coolant expansion tank for selected classic BMW cooling systems.

This expansion tank is mounted in the engine bay and accommodates coolant expansion as the engine reaches operating temperature. The tank has the original BMW moulding, integrated hose connections, threaded cap opening and visible casting number 1150956.

Installation recommendation

Before installation:

• Compare the tank with the original component
• Check all hose connections for cracks
• Inspect the mounting points and seams
• Check the cap and cap seal
• Pressure-test the cooling system after installation
• Use new hose clamps where necessary
• Fill the system with the correct coolant mixture
• Bleed the cooling system correctly
• Check carefully for leaks after the engine reaches operating temperature

Because a cracked expansion tank can cause sudden coolant loss and engine overheating, professional inspection is recommended.
