Genuine BMW New Old Stock retaining-clip set for the ignition distributor cap fitted to selected classic BMW models with an M30 six-cylinder engine.

These spring-steel clips secure the distributor cap firmly to the distributor housing. Two clips are used on each compatible distributor: one on either side of the cap.

The original BMW Mobile Tradition package is marked “1 Satz”, meaning one set, and contains the two clips required for one vehicle.

Before installation:

• Remove loose surface oxidation carefully
• Check the clips for cracks, excessive corrosion or deformation
• Confirm that both clips retain adequate spring tension
• Inspect the mounting points on the distributor housing
• Check the distributor cap for cracks and worn retaining edges
• Install one clip on each side of the distributor cap
• Confirm that the cap is seated evenly and cannot move
• Keep debris away from the internal distributor components

Replace the clips if the spring tension is insufficient or if corrosion has weakened the metal.
