Original Genuine BMW rear bumper shock absorber for selected BMW E30 models equipped with the later-style plastic rear bumper.

This energy-absorbing unit is installed between the rear bumper carrier and the vehicle body. It supports the bumper and is designed to absorb part of the impact energy during a low-speed collision.

The component can be used on either the left or right side of the rear bumper. BMW specifies two units per vehicle.

The original BMW part number is 51121959105. This number was subsequently replaced by 51121959128.

This is an unused original BMW New Old Stock component. The original version is no longer manufactured and has become increasingly difficult to find.

This component is primarily associated with later E30 vehicles equipped with the plastic rear bumper, generally from approximately 09/1987 onwards. Convertible production dates and market-specific versions may differ.

It is generally not suitable for early European E30 models with chrome metal bumpers. Certain North American, Japanese and other market-specific vehicles may use different bumper absorbers despite having a similar appearance.
