Genuine used BMW thermostat housing for early M30 inline-six engines, dating from approximately 1977/1978.

This original early-style thermostat housing has one temperature-sensor port. It is supplied with the rounded thermostat cover, one installed coolant-temperature sender and the attached coolant hose with clamp shown in the photographs.

The housing is marked with casting number 1 250 351.9. This is a casting number; the corresponding BMW ordering number is 11531250352.

Because BMW used several different thermostat housings, sensor configurations and hose connections during M30 production, always compare the original part carefully before ordering.

Condition

Used original BMW component in unrestored condition.

The housing shows visible age-related wear, oxidation, dirt, old coolant deposits and surface discolouration. The hose connections also show oxidation consistent with previous use.
