This period relay features a cylindrical metal housing, mounting bracket and flat electrical terminals. Designed for the corresponding original 12V windscreen wiper control system.

For selected classic BMW models equipped with the corresponding early wiper delay system:

• BMW 02 Series: Selected early 1600, 1600ti, 1602, 2002 and 2002ti applications

• BMW Neue Klasse: Selected early saloon and 2000 Coupé applications

• BMW E3: Selected 2500 and 2800 applications

This relay is associated particularly with early installations, commonly described as applications up to approximately 1971. Production date, market specification and previous electrical modifications can affect compatibility.

Later wiper control units may have different connections and operating characteristics.

Condition

Unused HELLA New Old Stock relay from long-term storage.

The metal housing shows scratches, discolouration, surface oxidation and other storage-related marks. Localised brown oxidation is visible on the housing and mounting bracket. The electrical terminals also show age-related patina.

Handwritten identification numbers are present on the casing.

The relay has not been electrically tested. Switching operation and delay timing have not been verified.
