Condition

Genuine New Old Stock (NOS) item that has never been installed. Due to long-term storage, the thermostat shows minor surface oxidation and discolouration. The original BMW packaging is heavily aged, stained, creased, and partially damaged.

The thermostat has not been bench-tested. Because this is a classic mechanical cooling system component, correct operation cannot be guaranteed prior to testing. Please examine all photos carefully.

Installation recommendation

1. Verify BMW part number 11531251106 before installation.

2. Bench-test before installation: Test the thermostat in a pot of heated water using an accurate thermometer. Confirm that it begins opening near 75°C, opens smoothly, and closes completely upon cooling.

3. Always install with new gaskets/O-rings and thoroughly bleed the cooling system after refilling.
