Genuine used BMW mechanical water pump for four-cylinder M10 engines, originally used on select BMW E12 models.

The pump housing carries the casting and production reference 118.081.01.80.9, together with the BMW logo and the additional casting mark SICU.

This number is not the regular 11-digit BMW ordering number. The corresponding BMW part number is 11511259661. A later BMW exchange replacement was supplied under number 11519070749.

Please note that this is an M10 four-cylinder water pump, not a water pump for an M20 or M30 engine.

The aluminium housing shows visible age-related wear, dirt, oxidation, coolant residue and surface discolouration. The steel pulley/fan hub and internal impeller show significant surface corrosion.

• Pump operation and leak tightness
