Installation recommendation

Before installation:

• Confirm that the steering wheel is the compatible BMW M-Technic version
• Compare the part number and button shape with the original component
• Inspect the button and contact surfaces for storage damage
• Check the corresponding contact spring
• Clean the mounting area carefully
• Install the button without forcing or bending it
• Reconnect the horn circuit and test its operation
• Confirm that the horn does not remain permanently activated

Disconnect the vehicle battery before working on the steering-wheel electrical contacts. Installation should preferably be carried out by someone familiar with classic BMW steering wheels.
